Rights of Way in Nottinghamshire – District Coordinators

The District Coordinators were set up to work in collaboration with Group Footpath Secretaries to monitor and oversee Rights of Way matters in the Borough and District Council Areas within Nottinghamshire.

They deal with all the Definitive Map issues including:

  • Making applications for rights of way to be added to the Definitive Map.
  • Can offer advice and support to third parties thinking of making a claim
  • Working with Landowners
  • Commenting on Diversion applications for existing Rights of Way.
  • Maintenance and access issues (e.g. is the path usable; is it obstructed; can you find your way; are there intimidating signs?)
  • Commenting on Planning issues directly affecting Rights of Way
